LAUGHLIN BULLHEAD AIRSHOW – November 21, 2022 – Arizona Office of Tourism supports Airshow!
The Laughlin Bullhead Airshow, presented by Findlay Motor Co., received a substantial grant of
$150,000.00 to support the efforts of tourism throughout Mohave County, AZ and neighboring Southern
Clark County, NV.
The Laughlin Bullhead Airshow is a joint effort with the City of Bullhead City, Laughlin Bullhead
International Airport, and the Laughlin Tourism Commission (LTC). The City of Bullhead City and LTC
matched contributions of $75,000.00 each. The total amount of $150,000.00 was then leveraged with
the grant application from the Arizona Office of Tourism to gain an additional $150,000.00. This effort
provided the Airshow a total budget of $300,000.00!
The grant process was spearheaded by Edigar Kajirwa, Assistant to the City Manager of Bullhead City.
Edigar was quick to take action and worked hand-in-hand with the Arizona Office of Tourism to ensure
the airshow was successful in the application process. Edigar stated, “there is a lot of excitement behind
this project, and we look forward to it coming to life”. These funds will readily enable the Airshow to
bring its mission to life with providing a safe, entertaining aviation and airshow event for all ages that
showcases military and civilian aircraft while honoring the history of aviation and respecting all those
who have sacrificed and served our country.
As the airshow edges closer, it is also prudent of us to make note and extend additional gratitude to the
committee. This group is made of great minds and talented individuals in their respective areas. Having
such a team and a wide variety of experience is a big benefit and very important especially for such an
event. They are investing a great deal of their time to ensure that this event runs smoothly, and for that
we are grateful. Meetings and preparations are ongoing with more updates to follow in the coming days
ahead.
